Whitelisted Faction?

Do you remember the good old days? Police, Rebels and the UNMC.

Now it's just Police and Rebels, not really much of a fair fight to say the Police now get access to MAR-10s.

I remember a time where the scales of combat were balanced between Altis as the UNMC would tackle both Police and Rebel alike.

Obviously, the UNMC caused all sorts of weekly trouble for the admins - but what I would like to see is a whitelisted faction re-introduced into the server with strict rules which clamp down harder than the ones which were set on the UNMC.

A few suggestions in the comments would be helpful before I go to the "Suggestion Box"

Here's how I've often thought a whitelist "rebel" faction should play out (ignore the Developer tag, I just do textures 😛 this is my just talking as a player on a decent server)

One small group of rebels who rarely to never get reported or dare we say it, even recommended for their RP as rebels, that don't cause admin headaches get granted whitelist status due to their ability to not be a giant pain in the arse OOC wise.

They start with the tiniest parcel of land that then expands every x weeks, with new store additions, vehicles, uniforms, new slots etc. So that the actual expansion of this rogue group fits with RP and can involve those that RP as news crews etc. If they bollocks up, no expansion, if they recruit good members who RP well and aren't just in it for the gucci shit, they get their slots upped (to a pre-determinned point).

Edit: Although, a new whitelist does seem to get suggested every few weeks, the line that is always said is along the lines of  "not saying never, but not just yet"

@Jamie

The Police getting MAR-10s now just completely unbalances warfare. It is very rare for Rebels to get ahold of one, yet the Police Command/ AR can just whip one out and use it 1.7-2km away, and the only way to combat that is to have a MAR-10 of your own

Plan ahead, kidnap snipers 😛

Uhh i don't think you realize the strict rules we had in the beginning in the UNMC, We were not able to do the stuff we did in the end of the UNMC.

The only reason the rules got less strict because of the people that were in the UNMC "some" didn't care about these strict rules, but my time in the UNMC was great and the rules were strict enough.

+1 great idea

My brief time in the UNMC was also amazing, yet their ability to access weapons better than the Police force was totally unbalanced
However there were normally more Police than UNMC on... And UNMC were harder to get into. Imo the best way to get a good Rebel faction would be to get some High up police members across to head it up as they know what to do & how to head a whitelisted faction well.

"Police now get access to MAR-10s." You say that as if most police officers have high powered guns. Most of the police have MK-20's, and I'm pretty sure it's only the specialist units that get the fancy guns. Rebels dominate the police, I see it all the time. Quilins full of armed rebels driving around Kavala and people with guns out knowing that the police won't attempt to take them away etc.

It's still balanced, rebels have mar-10 and Police have the same, so fair enough, same weapons, same playground aka balanced combat.

Not against any new faction, but the argument seems weak

Rebels think that police have access to MXM's and Large rifles all the time. This is not true. Once a Mar10 is lost, we lose it for 48 hours. Its 1 mar10 per server with no exceptions.

UNMC Base weapon was a Spar16s - Police have to be in NCA (And have completed the training for the weapon) to use it, we only get 1 per patrol.

A whitelisted faction with a new aim and goal would be preferred, one that would keep balance over sectors of the map perhaps, not one that actively targets groups (as this usually turns into just shut down police rp as quick as possible for results and hostages)

If you look at the skew of Police ranks, You have to be Inspector+ until you have access to an MX or be within a Spec Unit (AR/NCA). The reason rebels arent happy and feel they always get countered by cops with big weapons is because standard officers call into the proper response units with more access to shut down the firefight for example.

UNMC - Let's not have them back

I have seen some good ideas brought forward by @Alfred or some of the other people suggesting a NATO or Similiar style group where it has more of a focus and is run by actual roleplayers and not frag hungry knobs ( @Kech you were ok <3) (This comment comes from the end of the UNMC time)

Think we all forget that the AR weapon cache is a bit too overpowered and you guys have like a high chance of getting mk200's , Zafirs , 7.62 supressors etc. Thats the stuff we don't get.

we all know from like years ago how Overpowered the zafir was it got taken out cause every police suv got completly rekt.

Go Cart Zafir's man xD

Nah but I agree, Rebels have tons of power atm, and I don't see why he is saying its unbalanced for rebels null
