Make the cops actually rp more?

Cops always have to win every fucking rp situation its unbelievable why cant I ever actually enjoy any rp with the cops i try to take them hostage hold a ransom for them have the city look for them organise this big search and it never equates to that... They are so delusional and hungry to win the situation that they hit each other with their own vehicles speeding to get to the scene and win. They said I was outgunned and outnumbered yet I still have a hostage and why cant I and the police enjoy the chase and rush of it... Yet they shoot me with a fucking baton launcher like its fortnite or some shit. I get I probably wouldnt of gotten away atleast give me a chase, like afterall we are Roleplaying not trying to compete for shit.

Negotiating is a thing. Forcing a situation where you are trying to leave the scene by getting them into a car isn't furthering the RP. You're clearly outnumbered very fast here no chance you're getting out there as quick as you'd like.

If I was in your shoes, I'd be screaming for a negotiator. You're not even speaking to the cops that show up on scene you're still focused with that guy?

Not saying I don't agree with you in my personal opinion everyone recently has a win mentality, however think you could of handled that better from your own perspective too mate.

Locking this as it just isn't a valid suggestion.
If you do have issues with the police there is defiantly better ways to go about it than posts like this.

The winning thing I get everyone wants to win,  I’m sure I've been guilty of it.  But how many times a day do you think the police respond to the same s*** "Officer being robbed for his stuff" , this shop is being held up , this really high performance car is an FTS. your response becomes robotic. It takes two tango. How many times do you think officers pull people over and just get sworn at or the moment you step out the car they just dip. Or drive around pulling wheelies, making pig noises and baiting the police into fights and chases. The biggest one that gets me is 50% of people just point blank refuse to listen to the police like trying to steal police cars from cordons next to 5 armed officers. and break into cordons around banks / Life invader. Then people wonder why the police sometimes get straight to the point and dont even offer the other person a chance to act because it always ends the same way.

In this situation you never checked behind you or spoke to an officer. And you did it in the open with no cover. You might as well have worn a big sign saying “Please Batton me” Did you really think they were going to let you get in that car and drive away when they are all around you and blocking the exit? You pose a much bigger risk with weapons and ammo out in public even more so behind the wheel of a car with a hostage and a police chase.

Besides why people try to rob police / G6 outside major landmarks like police stations / prisons is awful RP. People just wait for one on their own, steal their stuff, victim goes back and gets more and it repeats. Would you ever dream of carrying a knife / firearm in the car park of a police station its unfathomably stupid

My opinion

I'm struggling to understand what this post is getting at? You were outumbered, outgunned, outflanked and without wheels.

If you had your hostage in cover, inside and threatened to stab if they'd entered then they wouldn't have tased you so easily. If you play more strategically you'll find yourself beating Police, Police outnumber people as it should be, you have to play smarter if you wanna win, taking a hostage in the open, with a gun that frankly isn'ty going to shoot stood so close. It's not going to go well for you. Some of the ways people have got me as Police or as G6 in-game have been clever and they won. The above strategy wasn't.

This is stupid logic.

And a prime example of this win mentality.

From a police POV the response was chaotic. He was very quickly surrounded, naturally, but no form of communication really established. This doesn’t help by the hostage walking off like a twat and taking his sweet time stalling giving up his stuff.

The use of taser was wholly inappropriate, unbalanced, and most of all unrealistic.

I will say— this is shit RP imo.

Look I’m not going to be a d*ck about this, but I tried and tried several times to roleplay with you a few days ago Felix and you were so fixated on the polices inability to ‘lock doors’ that you kept walking through locked doors around the PD taking advantage of the lock delay acting like a 10 year old kid instead of actually trying to RP, to be point where I just wanted to get your processed and away from me, while another officer had to ‘escort’ you and actually stand inside the cell waiting with you. I would happy RP with you, same as I do with everyone I come across when on my cop character but please consider your own RP ability and attitude towards the Police in general before making a thread generalising every one of us, like every whitelisted role & non-whitelisted role there is a good people and bad people, with a police force of this size that can’t be helped, but the least you can do is try help yourself in future when someone is trying to have fun and RP with you 👍

If I ever come across you again in the city then I will be playing as if that day never happened so badly in the cells and will give you the benefit of the doubt, please try to do the same and let’s have some actual fun roleplay.

This right here is by far the best response I could’ve read to this, well said mate 👏 @MidWipCrisis

The police are also trying to have some nice RP or a prolonged situation but like he said above, that’s not always possible when everyone and their gran wants to get involved, cross cordons, steal the cars etc… the quicker people remember this is a serious RP server and treat it as such the better. Now I am not continuing to have a moan or anything like that - I would genuinely like to have some nice RP with you at some point Felix, but I only ask that you remember you get back from people the same effort that you put into these situations. Now I know that might not be true of everyone, but trust me when I said that I’d like to think myself and the majority of people that I patrol with regularly do try to create RP situations and extend them where we can 🙂

This isn't true, when you had me as a hostage at the pd, they let you walk out the station to a vehicle to leave, you got to the vehicle made a fuss about it and then tried to get on a bike and left yourself wide open, a lot of the time Felis this is self inflicted. However my biggest problem is how you do nothing but try to take officers and people hostage, to the point where you get put into prison just to change characters and take yet another hostage, where everytime I see you at a scene now I have to warn officers about you.

To be frank @M I whole heartily disagree with you on this one. Police response is often chaotic when arriving on scene, it’s to be expected when your running into the unknown, following a panic and someone has a gun to another officers head.

That being said both ARVs that turned up within seconds of each other we’re both giving Felix clear instructions and trying to engage with him to talk about the hostage. Unfortunately Felix seemed to have no interest in talking to us and instead just wanted to put him in the car and drive away. We were and will never let this happen due to the increased risk to life, so he was battened in line with use of force and Firearms training. If I’m honest another step or 2 and he was about to get shot by those of us not carrying less than lethals.

Ultimately one officer returned safe and 1 criminal arrested with no major injuries is a top result for the police. Even if Felix did get upset by this, unfortunately in my eyes this was the most textbook response you will ever get to a vending machine situation.

My comments on the video.

Using a tazer on some one holding a gun on a hostage, surrounded by pollice with overlaping crossfire - bad decision. In RL the guy tazered holding the gun could have unloaded his full clip into everyone around him xD

But I agree with Drew, could have been better from both sides 🙂

Was a baton launcher (bean bag launcher), we are trained to not taser someone with a firearm and of we do, we lose the privilege of having one

I do agree with what you're saying as at the end of the day this is an RP server and we want that fun action adventure then we dont get when working a shitty 9-5 job in some office, and youre right some situations do have the ability to grow into an incredibly fun and entertaining scenario for all, but unfortunately you need to do your part as well! GET SHOUTING!!!! START MAKING DEMANDS ''ONE STEP CLOSER AND ILL PUT A BULLET IN HIS HEAD'' you were very much silent during this ordeal and therefor allowed the police to get into position and end the situation using non lethal force which in fact was very good policing,  i agree it will be incredibly frustrating for you and has been for myself when on my crim doing similar stuff, but its what you make it at the end of the day, ild say robbing someone at gun point outside the front of a maximum secured prison in broad daylight with out any cover was abit silly tho

He wasn't tazed, he was baton launchered. You are unable to fire once hit by it.
