I gave this some thought after reading a report and thought to see what others thought about this suggestion of a change.
Currently when purchasing a vehicle from a dealership, the Customer retrieves cash from an ATM, as this is required in their pocket to complete.
On completion, the money 'magically disappears' into the business bank account. Transaction complete.
SUGGESTION
Alter the transaction so that the cash is transferred into the pockets of the worker instead.
This then requires the worker to be -trusted- to go and place the money into the business bank account, either via storage or ATM, or hand over to their working superior or boss to then process.
You could even add onto this that salespeople working at Vehicle Dealerships cannot process any sales unless they are clocked in (i'm sure many business owners would love a webhook for clock in/outs and when money is added or taken out of the bank account)
PROS
- More realistic transactions
- More potential criminal RP taking place, either via business theft or internal corrupt employees stealing money
- Encourages business management to be present or hired, allowing the businesses to have their focus on activity returned and shops open more
- Encourages more avenues and activity of G6, Police, Solicitor or Independent Security RP
- Negates potential future reporting on people taking advantage of money 'disappearing'
CONS
- Dev work, as a mechanics change
- Some businesses and players may be felt pressured to log in and it bring a feeling of the dreaded 2nd job (Although shouldn't business activity be monitored already?)
- Potential complaints about "We can't open our shop anymore as we're always getting robbed during sales" (Although RP issue, in my humble opinion)
DOES THIS CHANGE THE BALANCE OF THE SERVER?
- ..No? Although it will keep almost every vehicle dealership on their toes about their customers and surroundings. Lest we forget however, we can't forget this is Los Santos and GTA RP, not Second Life.
That's my two pence. Thoughts?
