I think the fruit should be able to be picked ripe. Change the size of the tree for ripe and unripened fruit? Large tree = Ripe fruit but a lower yeild. Small tree = more fruit but unripened. This allows people who are perhaps playing at off peak times and dont see many shop keepers available...
