I get this every now and then, refreshing the page usually works.
If your friend keeps getting the same issue over and over, has he tried clearing his browsing cache? It might help.
I'm not hot when it comes to web design / coding, but I think its an issue with the CSS stylesheet, as mentioned above, refreshing the page usually does it.
