+1 this will be great alongside the addition of police rebreather units so we can have unlimited oxygen to properly balance this.

Have you never jumped into the water and put on your dive gear?Otherwise it would be imo fail RP, if you just jump into the water, pop your airtank on and carry on.
actually no?Have you never jumped into the water and put on your dive gear?
Its quite simple to do irl so wouldn't say its fail RPactually no?am I the only one that actually takes this more serious?

Unlimited oxygen? So if the public gets air tanks, you want the police to have unlimited oxygen to "balance" it? Police are overpowered as it is, unlimited oxygen in rebreathers does not make sense as they do not exist in the real world. Like it was mentioned earlier in this suggestion, police have a whole unit based for water based crimes and the best equipment to deal with it.+1 this will be great alongside the addition of police rebreather units so we can have unlimited oxygen to properly balance this.
Wetsuits are already available in the clothing shop and I believe and flippers don't increase speed, been chased by police who were wearing flippers and they weren't any fasterThey do, they make you swim faster, much faster which means people will wear them constantly, just like they did on Arma 3 (this communities platform before FiveM was a thing)
Air tanks maybe, wetsuits no
Correct, perhaps unlimited is the wrong word to use in this case, more accurately rebreathers would simply last around 6 times longer then conventional SCUBA equipment, you're correct not unlimited but a significantly longer bottom time then with regular dive particularly when considering bottom time and decompression. Police should maintain a unit based for water crimes that should continue to have the best equipment to deal with it, this keeps balance.Unlimited oxygen? The issue is giving everyone the same thing doesn't equalize it, balancing requires more then everyone gets the same stuff. The police is both balanced by what we have access to and then policy surrounding it (who, what, when, where, why you can use x thing) if people are given free access to air tanks it will only push further towards the already aids meta of going for a swim in the majority of pursuits.think about equalizing it and allowing all to have the exact same
Either way, if I am able to sell them and the air tanks prove to be some huge advantage; balance changes could be done to counter act those advantagesSome people posting in this thread in disagreement with the idea are disagreeing BECAUSE they argue for one side either crim or police.
At the end of the day more content is better and a whole new area to explore opens up, and with it a lot of new avenues for roleplay and that should ultimately be the deciding factor.
Anything to do with server meta etc is merely an opinion, of what people might do. The fact remains that there will be new content.
