Provide a one sentence summary of the bug: Got stabbed at pillbox with half of my inventory still in the box and checked in again and lost the rest of my stuff . Surely somehow the box should mix.

This is actual intentional behaviour at the moment, I've already made some changes that should be coming soon to rework the hospital & prison collections though.

You should be able to do a compensation for it though noting you did attempt to collect it before you died.
