What best describes this incident: RDM G1.2
Please (in detail) describe the incident: I was in the area of a TFA shooting, around 10 minutes after the actual shootout (which I had no involvement in). While in my vehicle, I was beanbagged, pulled out, and searched under the Firearms Act. At no point was I provided reasonable grounds (RP) for why I was being detained, searched, or treated as a suspect.
From my perspective, I didn’t do anything to warrant this treatment. It feels like standard police RP in firearms situations is to immediately assume involvement without proper cause. For example, had I chosen to drive past, shoot, and then leave, that would clearly warrant action but instead, I was simply present in a public area and treated as if I were directly involved.
Later in the cells, PC Gabana claimed that I was “at the scene,” even though I had only been on a public road and then around the hospital. This felt like the officers were trying to build up a story in order to make charges stick.
All I’d like is for interactions with police to reflect fair, balanced RP, not a “police win every time” approach. I would appreciate staff reviewing how firearms officers engage with OCGs (and players in general) when there isn’t a direct threat, to ensure the RP is realistic and enjoyable for everyone.
