Ban Reason: Combat logging & ban evasion
Why do you think you were banned: 3 years ago, I played on roleplay.co.uk and I was banned for combat logging, presumably I died and to avoid waiting for a medic I closed the game. Additionally, I played again last month or a little further back, and I was banned for ban evasion. My alternate csgo steam account was originally banned for combat logging, and years down the line I had forgot, and very simply used my steam main account to play more recently.
Why should we unban you: Firstly to address the fact that I combat logged I want to admit my own insolence, and lack of respect at that time. I think the rule of combat logging is essential, and universal to fivem. As such I should certainly have respected the rules as I agreed to do so when I first ever played. I know my offence is worthy of a permanent ban, however now, three years later; I can say with sincerity that I intend to put in high quality roleplay, my friends and brother are playing actively and I wish to join in their legal businesses on the server. They have a plan to purchase a permanent business and I would love to partake in the community they say has grown and flourished.

Also, to address my ban for ban evasion. I want to put across that I had 100 percent no intention of ban evading when I logged on using my main steam account, as anyone could agree using the main account makes the most sense. and when I was banned for ban evading a little while into playing, I was honestly shocked. I joined the team speak and had a conversation with staff who informed me I had been banned a long while back for combat logging and so i left and chose not to join for a while.

Since I have committed the offence of ban evasion I want to take full accountability for not realising I was already banned. That is considerably foolish and very unfortunate for me that I now have two offences stacked up against me. I would like to make it clear that I had no intention of evading that day when I logged on using my main steam account. I apologise for inconveniencing anyone with my first forum post.

While I appreciate the explanation of events, I am having a very hard time to believe that you did not at all remember that you were banned here initially. The fact that you have 4 different steam accounts also does not fill me with confidence, as that is something people usually do when they are up to no good in general.

Now, your ban was modified due to your brother being unable to play our server at the time as well - I reckon that was something that caused some discussions between you two at the time, no? While it was two years ago, this seems like something one would remember.

I will be honest with you here - I am not buying that you had no idea. When it comes to the original offence, that can be forgiven. Especially since it has been a long time until now - but the ban evading is something we take extremely serious here and I need you to be 100% truthful with me.

it’s a great thing to hear my offence for combat logging is a forgivable one, it’s a great relief and it’s been a bit of a long winded process to get to this stage.

I hear that 4 steam accounts is wild, and I can also see how from staffs perspective, that’s a common characteristic of ban evaders. I may not be able to convince you of my intentions, however I would like to provide an example of why I have alternate steam accounts. I’m sure that csgo alternates are something many of the staff team is familiar with; so to begin 3 years ago I played using that steam account, and because it had been years, I forgot that I had played on rpuk before. When I logged in using my main steam account all this time later I didn’t get notified that I was banned because it’s a different steam and so I presumed that all was fine. Of course coming back to you are banned for ban evading cleared up any misconceptions on my side. I hope it’s seen that I have played 3 years ago and then not at all until all this time later which is why I made the mistake of thinking I wasn’t banned. Additionally I have 4 accounts because g2a the website service for the resale of video games also offered people to sell the login for steam accounts with the game you want on the steam account so I bought helldivers 2 and ready or not for extremely cheap through g2a

To me as a uni student being generally low income, it’s a massive win to be able to get a game way cheaper.

Again however, I can not convince you that my intentions were never to ban evade and that my truth is that I made a lapse in judgement by forgetting to act with due diligence when it comes to rp.uk

If I may propose that perhaps it is seen from a forgiving point of view where I am given the benefit of the doubt regarding my offence of ban evasion, I am very much hoping my ban may be lifted as I am very excited to rejoin a great roleplaying community and play with my brother and friends.

Finally to note you mentioning a discussion between staff and my brother, we don’t live together and as such I’m out of the loop; I dont know the conversation you are referring to if it took place as far back as 2 years ago because so much in my life has happened that I’m hoping you can understand makes these types of things hard to recollect. As much as I would like to be able to give helpful commentary myself.

I promise I am being truthful and not trying to deceive you to get my way, any further questions from yourself will be met with my 100 percent truthful answer… I wish to be as cooperative as I can throughout my unban appeal and I hope you can see my attempts to put across that I am very serious about joining as a good and committed member of rpuk as I’m very excited at the prospect of joining the community. I hope I can continue my efforts to try and get unbanned if you are not yet convinced, I would hate for my stupid mistake to prevent me from playing with my friends.

I appreciate the effort. Now, what are your plans moving forward, should we decide to unban you? Which account did you intend to play on?
 
Hello there @Sammy as I’m very excited to make a new journey I would love to use the character I had already made so that would be the account banned for combat logging. My story moving forward is deeply involved in business with my brothers character and my friends too. However as I really love the criminal element of fivem i will certainly look into all sides of the coin and try to experience as much as I can within the community.

Now, we also have a little issue in terms of PEGI.

You played the server while underage, did you not? I´m having a hard time being sure enough that you are now in fact of age and able to play here. Unfortunately we do not accept proof of age in any form, so it´s entirely up to you to convince me.

Well I am 19, born in 2006, I am currently at uni in the south east of England. I have a flat with my girlfriend, and a cat too. I am unsure how to convince you but my account on steam has been active for over 10 years now so I hope we can continue a dialogue as I’m certainly over 18 now. I can drink alcohol in England and go to clubs.

Alright, I´ve had a chat with other staff and we are willing to give you the benefit of the doubt and give you a chance.

I want to make very clear however, your 3 alt accounts have been banned from playing on the server and should there be even the slightest hint of you ban evading, you will not get the benefit of the doubt again.
