Apart from the obvious balancing issues this would cause for HM/Casino and RBA/Drug Stash/Weapons Cache i do not see a massive issue with this and would actually like the idea.

Why would you exempt redzones?  the same thing would happen as anywhere else.  The RZ is already devoid of any real kind of RP between battling gangs, and the disadvantages are the same.  Unless-in of course one simply likes the killing to drag on for hours upon  hours until a disadvantaged gang is killed off, or gives up.
People coming back to redzones after their NLR is not a problem. It's different when fighting in redzones.. you can't tell if the "gunfight" is over or not. Its a redzone fight.

Lets say I get killed in a fight at a redzone, how can I tell if the fight is over or not? In redzones it's not like that after a certain time when no shots have been fired the fight is over.

Weeeeeell, my first thought would be if your in a gunfight with your team and you get killed, I would assume when you spawned back into the game, one of your team mates would tell you if the fight was over or not.

If your in the RZ alone, and your fighting off a group, well, as someone told me once, you got bigger b@##s than I have lol.

Point in fact, I have only been in I believe one gunfight in the RZ with my team.  So yes, I do not have the experience that many others have. That said, Once I was killed, which was pretty quick, when I spawned back in, they told me they were still in the fight.

My personal opinion in this matter is yes i would like to see this added to stop the massive everlasting gunfights

i like the idea (this is my personal opinion and not a staff opinion)

I guess with the balancing issue regarding HM Treasuries/HM Reserves/AR Weapon Caches it could stay as it is (rebels 1 life until they leave compound, police multiple), as its supposed to be stacked against rebels in terms of difficulty, and with each of them it is the objective to exit the compound and make it to the respective buyer/trader/processor

In my opinion I don't think it will make gunfights shorter to only have one life it will just make more people sit farther out and try and be a sniper so they are less likely to die which may cause the fight to go on longer trying to find the person 800 or 900 meters out with a 7.62 suppressor

I feel that one life per gunfight would have the main benefit of adding back the sense of danger/adrenaline to said situations , That a lot of more experienced long standing rebels and so forth have come to miss . As gangs with only a certain amount of members know far to well that if they are downed early they can get back to fight soon enough , which in turn makes it just as hard for the other party as just as they feel they have the upper hand they are shot in the back by a new incoming wave of undead from a previous area that was cleared. Also I don't feel having guys laying far out would prolong a battle as its not to hard to realise you are taking sniper shots from a certain direction and distance even when silenced just means another threat to deal with albeit maybe with a different approach.

Red zones are completely different, people go there to purposely fight anyways, so why have the intention of going back multiple times, there’s a difference from returning to a redzone multiple miles from any town after NLR than dragging out a 2+ hour gunfight in a major city that stops anyone who’s not involved from entering it

+1

I like this, always bugged me a bit when people were just waiting for 15 mins for the timer to end so that they can return.

+1 it’s annoying seeing the same dude you killed 20 mins ago come back and start sniping 😂

-1 I think its okay the way it is ,sure its anoying but its also not a common thing that happens in every single gunfight , i get the whole idea its an RP server yada yada and you got 1 life but nlr rule is literally there to prevent "same person" going back ,so tehnically i am a different person returning once my nlr timer is down and someone from my gang/faction informed me of the situation. Gunfights arent the main focus of the server but they can be  filled with adrenaline and be exciting especially big fights once it all kicks off i think restricting people who died coming back will just make it boring and less adrenaline filled less interesting in big fights and just easier to generally do any of the illegal activities like HM treasury or Casino and i personally dont really want to break the economy even more than it already is.If you dont like zombie waves change the way you approach situation hit them hard and fast and then get the fuck out of there like of course your gonna get zmbies when your sitting on the same location for 40 min its common sense.

Some gunfights can last hours just because it's like you're in left 4 dead 2 where the zombies keep returning. As DJ mentioned, yes, this may cause some balancing issues in terms of the RBA treasury etc. But these issues can be resolved simply. An exception could be made that for any major robberies the rule of not returning does not count for the faction that is actively defending (i.e police for the RBA treasury/reserve and AR weapon cache and poseidon for the drug stash and the casino). This would ensure that these major robberies don't become too easy and would become a money farm. With an amendment of the NLR rule gunfights would instead of stretching for hours be much shorter which will ultimately result in more people actively roleplaying instead of being in a gunfight for the duration of half a restart. Good suggestion! +1

And yes I have to say it: This is my personal opinion and thus does not reflect any official staff team opinion.

Fair enough...

Not sure what changed since then, but I was against it back then. Now I'm for it, just tired of endless zombie wave gunfights I guess.
Actual picture of police HQ during HMs 🤣

Dont really like the idea. When its happens, its usually faction to faction wich dont mind me at all. Pretty much, only times it happens is during HMs, AR cache etc. So, no
