(2.1) Vehicle Deathmatch (also known as VDM) - Using any vehicle as a weapon (e.g running people over, causing explosions, ramming, etc), will result in you receiving a ban. Three vehicles are excluded from this, MRAPS (Ifrits, Hunters and Striders) can ram other MRAPS in order to disable them, yet not to kill the passengers. This is allowed as these vehicles are the only vehicles ingame that can withstand being rammed. Please note that you need to initiate roleplay before attempting to ram an MRAP. (Please note - MRAPS don't need to be initiated on in the redzone) This is to prevent random ramming on site. (Three minutes of chasing also constitutes initiation of MRAP and MRAP ramming).

We do suggest you attempt to rejoin the server and continue the roleplay (try messaging them with the mobile system first).

Nothing new to learn, no panic.

Few instances of "UNMC" removed from the following rules:

4.2
7.2.5
11.2

You may notice UNMC whitelisted rules are still on the rules page, they currently do not apply (as marked). This section will be changed as necessary in the coming [period of time somewhere between now and oblivion].

(4.7) Using out of game communications to encourage other players to log on and sway the result of an event or roleplay situation is forbidden. Similarly, joining the server using metagamed information is forbidden. (Punishment is a ban)

Removed and replaced by;

(4.7) When joining the server, you cannot involve yourself in any ongoing gunfights involving your group/faction for 15 minutes. (Punishment is a ban)

Because every post needs a story:

How many weeks can you argue about a rule? Probably more than the number of "facepalm" emoji's this post can get.
Anyway, the last 4.7 didn't work, we all know that. The people who subverted it weren't that clever in doing so. Let's mix things up a bit.
(Every facepalm = +1 support)

Change: (8.4.2) AAN members are not allowed to perform any illegal activities (robbing/stealing/killing) when they are in uniform. It is a purely role play activity. -> (8.4.2) AAN members are not allowed to perform any illegal activities when they are in uniform. It is a purely role play activity.

Reason: Confusion over whether self-defence is included in killing.

(8.3.4) ARAC Members are not allowed to perform any illegal activities (robbing/stealing/killing) when they are in uniform. It is a purely role play activity. -> (8.3.4) ARAC Members are not allowed to perform any illegal activities when they are in uniform. It is a purely role play activity.

Addition:
(6.2.5) Retreating to a bluezone while being engaged in a gunfight is not allowed.
Reason: Continual issue, mentioned by many player, though it is understood bluezones are supposed to be safe invisible safety lines on the map from which to retreat from firefights cause a lot of hassle

Thanks to @CC Aiden for the type up.

Okay how did this get missed? Luckily we've all kind of just assumed it anyway.

(2.12)
NHS Medics -The NHS are here to help and revive people and have less than 10 slots on the 130 slot server. It is a bannable offence to kill a medic, take their vehicle or take them hostage. In the Redzone medics may be killed however all other rules regarding medics apply.

Stop stealing their morphine ye thieving gits

(4.2) Name Tags - You are not allowed to identify players in game via nametags or keychains. Police and NHS ranks (only ranks!) are fine, as they “wear clothing with the rank on” unless they are undercover. (Not in their uniform or masked.) (Punishment is a kick/ban)

Some small misc changes in line with server changes (number of police needed for a bank for example)

Time for a big revamp of the rules page.

Any actual rules changes will be listed here, however you may notice many rules have moved and the number of the rule has changed.

Firstly a big thankyou to @Sonder for the new headers, i'm sure we all noticed the old ones needed some sprucing up.

Now onto the exciting ones;

(12.1) All Poseidon members must have a microphone and be on Teamspeak. If your microphone is not working or you're not on Teamspeak then do not connect to the server.

(12.2) Poseidon may not sell their equipment or willingly give their equipment away. If there is a strong roleplay cause, exchanges can be made.

(12.3) You must not abuse your role as a Poseidon member to help out your friends. (For example: Placing drug fields next to their gang base etc.).

(12.4) Attacking the Poseidon Complex and family compounds - You may attack the Poseidon Complex and family compounds, however, this must be authorized by a member of staff or Poseidon Leadership at the time.

(12.5) Do not rent vehicles or purchase equipment as a Poseidon member then switch to a civilian to use them.

(12.6) When communicating with a helicopter; 1ATC message must be sent clearly indicating the target and stating an intention to fire upon the helicopter followed by enough time to comply with said message.

(8.2) The casino is where all the platinum reserves of the island are kept, robbing this is a big operation and requires some well thought out tactics and plans. It is brilliant for roleplay and also combat and can be very rewarding. However, there are some strict rules.

(8.2.1) There needs to be at least 15 Poseidon Family Members online, please check this before turning up. The vault is coded so it won’t open if there is less than 15 Poseidon Members online so it will be a waste of your time.

(8.2.2) Filling your vehicle up with platinum bars from the treasury without going outside the building is considered exploiting (Punishment is a permanent ban)

(8.2.3) Poseidon will always send in an unarmed negotiator in a marked Poseidon car who will drive up to the entrance and make himself known. This is part of the casino robbery process. You can either start roleplay with the negotiator or decline negotiations by asking him to leave. You cannot kill him - he must leave, and if killed it is bannable. You also may not kidnap the negotiator.

(8.2.4) When the blasting charge has been planted it is considered that any opportunity for negotiation is over. After this, the Poseidon may try to storm the building. At this point, any combat is not considered RDM. Once the platinum is outside of the casino and there has been no combat for five minutes normal server rules apply.

(8.2.5) You may not write inside chat that you are robbing the casino. This is your operation with the friends/group members that are there with you. You may not call for backup, only those on site at the beginning of the heist may take part. The Poseidon may return after NLR timer is up however non-whitelisted civilians may not.

(8.2.6) Any Poseidon members who we find have logged out on purpose to bring the number of Poseidon down to under 15 will be banned. If you need to log out during a known active casino operation, please inform a member of staff.

A few clues into Poseidon's purpose here, go go rumour mills.

Then onto the usual adjusting and small changes.

(4.2) Name Tags / Collar Numbers - You are not allowed to identify players in game via nametags or keychains. Police and NHS ranks and collar numbers are fine, as they “wear clothing with the rank on” unless they are undercover. (Not in their uniform or masked.)
