Muskets being powerful affects the guns economy far too much, when muskets are powerful, everyone uses them, even over pistols and other guns, because if they lose it they can just buy another one for 10K and the ammo is dirt cheap. In my opinion muskets should just get removed from the game...

The money you get is fine, but a small issue with getting constant no's from locals time to time, I've made a post about it in the bug section. Yes rate definitely needs to be upped. 

Just make a hotel system for new comers, daily payment gets taken out, once their bank balance hits 0 they get automatically kicked out including all belongings in the house. Storage is half of regular houses, don't allow plant pots to be used in hotel inventories as you can't really grow drugs...
